It is a documentary films festival that MAIS organises each year, in March, in Turin, in collaboration with PuntoDoc and the Cineteatro Baretti (Turin).
Each show edition is dedicated to a specific issue, screening documentary films and movies on the subjects of women and children from all over the world and on the link between trade and development.
In 2011 the Flores festival’s documentaries, fourth edition, was concentrated on issues such as international trade and large organised retailing, and on how large economic interests and financial speculation affect small producers and consumers’ lives.
At the end of each screening, experts and directors can have a debate with the audience about the issues raised in the films shown.
All films are screened in original language with Italian subtitles.
